Role Summary

The Manager, Engineering & Facilities leads cross-functional teams of non-exempt associates across distribution center operations, with a focus on process improvement, operational performance, and service excellence. This role owns the planning and execution of operational upgrades, staffing, and performance management while partnering across the organization to drive results. This is a weekend nights shift position: Friday through Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop cross-functional, non-exempt associate teams to achieve financial and operational goals
  • Champion and model organizational mission, vision, and values across all levels
  • Identify operational patterns and anticipate business needs to drive performance improvements
  • Deliver efficient solutions within constraints of time, cost, and scope
  • Analyze and quantify the impact of process changes; recommend improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to launch new initiatives and track performance outcomes
  • Drive proactive change management for project rollouts affecting multiple departments
  • Determine optimal workflows and recommend methods for maximum asset and people utilization
  • Participate in training and testing for new systems and processes during implementation
  • Lead building-wide performance management in partnership with leadership
  • Partner with leadership on culture action plans, talent calibration, goal setting, and development planning
  • Manage non-exempt staffing planning and execution for operational needs

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills in a distribution or fulfillment environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills including troubleshooting, prioritizing, and multitasking
  • Experience driving process improvement and operational initiatives
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications
  • Ability to learn business processes quickly outside one's direct area of expertise
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams with diverse goals and responsibilities
  • Willingness and ability to work rotational, 24/7 on-call schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and work in standard DC conditions (variable temperatures, noise, dust)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required)
  • E-Commerce fulfillment experience
  • Background in retail distribution environments
