A leading North American retail company with a strong national footprint and a focus on consumer products is seeking a Distribution Center Operations Manager to join its growing operations team in Dallas, TX.


This role leads cross-functional teams of non-exempt associates to drive process improvement, financial and operational excellence, and superior results across retail fulfillment and e-commerce functions. The DC Operations Manager is responsible for managing and implementing operational upgrades while maximizing people, process, and performance to achieve service excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and achieve objectives aligned with company strategy for growth and profitability
  • Identify patterns and anticipate business needs that drive distribution performance
  • Deliver efficient, effective solutions within time, cost, and scope constraints
  • Evaluate strategic trade-offs between store labor, inventory availability, and upstream expenses
  • Measure and quantify the impact of process changes across operations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to launch new initiatives and track/analyze results
  • Facilitate proactive change management for project rollouts impacting the broader organization
  • Determine optimal workflow sequencing and recommend methods for maximum asset and people utilization
  • Identify and implement improvements to associate efficiency and reduce operational waste
  • Participate in training, testing, and implementation of new systems and processes
  • Partner with leadership to build culture action plans and drive associate engagement
  • Plan and manage operational non-exempt staffing needs
  • Lead building-wide performance management in partnership with the leadership team
  • Participate in talent calibration, goal setting, performance review consultation, and individual development planning

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong knowledge of distribution center and e-commerce operations in a retail environment
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams with diverse goals
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Ability to quickly learn business processes outside one's area of expertise
  • Agility and innovation in applying process improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Willingness to work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Availability for rotational, 24/7 on-call support
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays
  • Comfort working in a distribution center environment (variable temperatures, loud noises, dusty conditions, strong scents)
